9th Sep 2021, One Mahurangi Update - Are We Nearly There Yet?

Thoughts from the One Mahurangi Office…

“Are we nearly there yet?” We all remember hearing or asking that hopeful but dreaded question from the back seat of the car on long journeys. The same sentiment can be seen in the Facebook comments at the moment as people wonder about how much longer Auckland will have to remain in Alert Level 4 while the rest of the country enjoys more freedoms already!

If we keep doing the right things such as, staying and working from home, wearing a mask, and keeping to the rules then it won’t be long before we can start moving down levels. The government’s action plan to contain this Coivid-19 Delta outbreak appears to be working. So let’s stay the course. We’re almost there!

Mental health is a major topic right now and I can’t emphasise highly enough how important it is for us all to stay connected. Reach out to friends, family, and workmates just for a chat and a check in to see how each other is doing. We are social creatures, and that contact is important.

As we have said often, when we come out of this lockdown, our local businesses are going to be depending on us all to help them recover from the financial effects of restricted business. Why not check now if you can purchase a gift voucher for a future purchase for family and friends? If you’re looking for contact details, the One Mahurangi Business Directory can be found online at dev.onemahurangi.co.nz

We are almost there. Businesses, let’s start thinking about ways in which we can welcome and attract customers back through our doors once the restrictions soon lift.

Buy local, Support local, Employ local and Promote local.
